Franco-camerounaise, de nationalité française, la jeune femme de 20 ans vient d’obtenir son diplôme de danse Jazz à l’opéra de Paris. A la suite de sa prestation sur la scène de la 12ème édition du festival de danse et Karaté de l’école « la côtière », elle s’est confiée au Messager.
Vous venez d’obtenir votre diplôme en danse Jazz à l’opéra de Paris, est-ce une fierté en tant que camerounaise ou en tant que danseuse tout court ?
Bien-sûr que c’est une fierté, parce qu’en plus je serai un exemple pour beaucoup de danseurs camerounais comme ceux de la côtière. Il y a beaucoup de talents au Cameroun et ils sont tous capable de réussir. Et évidemment, imaginer que je vais enseigner en milieu professionnel, c’est un rêve. Et je vais aussi participer à plusieurs spectacles et festival dans le monde. Je prépare actuellement un spectacle au Casino de Paris.
Qu’est-ce qui vous a particulièrement intéressé dans la danse Jazz ?
C’est une danse universelle qui parle à tout le monde. Elle rappelle les danse africaines et danses classiques en même temps. Ce mélange me permet de m’exprimer en tant que camerounaise et française aussi.
Est-ce que dans vos projets, vous envisagez mettre vos connaissances au service des danseurs camerounais ?
Je compte bien venir agrandir l’école « la côtière » qui a m’a apprise mes premiers pas en danse, et aussi faire connaître la danse Jazz au camerounais. Mais avant de revenir, je compte lancer ma carrière en Europe pour avoir plus d’expérience et de maturité. Et plus tard, je vais me lancer dans l’enseignement.
