C’est avec beaucoup d’émotions que le père du «benskin» a offert un spectacle vendredi 29 novembre 2013 à Douala à l’occasion de ses 45 ans de carrière.
Il l’avait annoncé. Cet anniversaire est placé sous le double signe du partage et Amour. Du partage, il y en a eu à travers le balaie des artistes qui se sont joint à Tala André pour souffler sur sa 45ème bougie de carrière. L’honneur est revenu à l’humoriste Kouokam Nar6, d’ouvrir la scène de Douala Bercy. Par ses textes croustillants, il a su mettre en condition les nombreux fans qui avaient fait le déplacement ce soir-là. Puis, Ottou Marcelin qui par ses notes de guitare, a exprimé toutes sa gratitude au père de Tchamassi band : «Merci pour ce qu’il a fait pour nous les artistes. Il nous a montré le chemin». Bon déroulé de tapis rouge pour l’élu du jour. Plus jeune que jamais. Vêtu d’un ensemble jaune or, le public le distingue bien de son Tchamassi band, qui l’accompagne. A peine les premières notes de «Sikati» ont retenti que l’assistance s’est transformée en un grand chœur. On écoute à peine le lead vocal et les chœurs. Il enchaine avec une chanson en langue Bamoun et d’autres titres moins connues du public. C’est la fin de la première partie du spectacle. Le père de «Simo» prend le relais, avec une version remix de ce célèbre titre. Puis Ekambi Brillant. C’est la liesse. Dans la salle, des pères et mères de famille sont devenus de petits enfants le temps d’un spectacle. La belle époque. Le Prince Afo Akom a marqué son passage par des sagesses. Morceau choisi : «mon grand-père m’avait dit que quand tu vois mon pantalon mouillé, c’est que je reviens de là où tu rêve encore d’aller».

La seule femme de ce plateau à la limite misogyne, Annie Anzouer a simplement demandé qu’on «oublie son passé», elle qui a tant aimé son «héro badjounais». Sam Fan Thomas, le compagnon de galère de Tala André Marie, lui a rendu hommage en reprenant à sa manière le titre à succès, «Pe tak si na». Puis, «Noa» avec des chorégraphies bien léchées. C’est débout que le public a vécu la suite du spectacle. Pour son second passage, la star n’a pas fait dans la dentelle. Du benskin non stop. Quelques soucis de sons. Tala André Marie le fait remarquer de vives voix pour manifester son mécontentement. La sono se remet au pas quelques minutes plus tard. La suite est spectaculaire. Tala grince de la guitare avec ses dents. En exclusivité, il joue quelques titres de son prochain album qui sortira en décembre 2014. «Trajectoire», comme il l’a intitulé retrace toutes les réalités vécues depuis 1969, date de la sortie de son premier disque, jusqu’à 2014. Ses succès, ses douleurs, son procès contre James Brown pour plagiat etc. Le bouquet final s’est joué avec le titre «je vais à Yaoundé», repris en chœur comme un chant de ralliement et patriotique.

A la fin du spectacle, nous avons suivi le guitariste dans les vestiaires. Malgré la fatigue, il a accepté de se confier à nous.
Comment vous avez vécu ce spectacle après tant d’années sans spectacles au Cameroun?
Je l’ai vécu avec beaucoup de bonheur. Je pense que le public était en communion avec vous. Il n’ya pas eu de problème majeur. Je pense que tout s’est bien passé. C’était bon.
On a quand même noté quelques soucis de sons au début de votre show. Est-ce que ça ne vous a pas un peu déstabilisé ?
C’est vrai que j’avais un souci avec le son au début du spectacle. Mais comme la technique est ce qu’elle est. On prévoit mais ce n’est pas toujours garanti à 100%. Au-delà de tout cela, je pense qu’on a quand même eu de belles phases, des moments où on a senti et partagé ce qu’on faisait. Pour ma part, c’est le plus important
On a également senti que vous rajeunit le temps de ce show en revisitant votre ancien répertoire ?
Absolument ! C’est vrai. Je me suis replongé dans ma jeunesse, au moment où je faisais mes premières compositions. Beaucoup de gens aussi avec (Rires). La communion avec le public était parfaite. Du moins je le pense. En tout cas, vous avez aussi vécu le spectacle. Et donc vous ne nierez pas ce partage et échange qu’il y a eu ce soir avec le public. On a partagé de très bons moments.
Que prévoit la suite de la célébration de vos 45 ans de carrière ?
On va d’abord posé un peu, pour souffler. Ensuite, je vais honorer certains contrats. Et on va projeter l’avenir peut-être au Cameroun, à Paris ou à Bruxelles, ça dépend. En tout cas, vous serez au courant de la suite de toutes les festivités qui marqueront mes 45 ans de carrières qui s’achèvent en 2014.
