Dr Owona Nguini décline l’offre d’Ama Tutu Muna

L’Universitaire avait été nommé par la ministre des Arts et de la culture, dans le Bureau du comité de normalisation. Ainsi que les artistes Isnebo  et Ben Decca.

L’on n’est loin de l’accalmie dans le domaine du droit d’auteur au Cameroun. Seulement deux jours après publication des arrêtés portant création d’un comité Ad hoc qui a pour mission, le redressement de l’organisme de gestion collective du droit d’auteur et des droits voisins, la liste de ses membres commencent à s’effriter. Sur la quarantaine de personnes nommées, trois viennent de décliner l’offre de la ministre des Arts et de la culture. Il s’agit du politologue, Dr Eric Mathias Owona Nguini, des artistes Isnebo et Ben Decca. Tous clament n’avoir par été consultés par Ama Tutu Muna.  «Je pense qu’avant de nommer quelqu’un à un poste, il faut le consulter, demander son avis pour savoir s’il est d’accord ou pas. En ce qui me concerne, je n’ai pas été consulté. Et puis, je ne suis pas intéressé par ce travail», explique l’Universitaire. Il avait pourtant été convoqué parmi la soixantaine de personnes réunie à Yaoundé le 16 janvier 2014 par la ministre des Arts et de la culture pour, sauver le droit d’auteur de sa propre mort. «J’avais été convoqué pour donner mon avis sur le fonctionnement du droit d’auteur. Je l’ai fait mais sur ma nomination, je ne peux l’accepter parce que j’ai d’autres choses à faire», soutient l’enseignant d’Université.

Un combat noble

L’artiste chanteur Isnebo a aussi décliné l’offre de la ministre des Arts et de la culture. Lors de la conférence de presse que Ndédi Eyango, le Président du conseil d’administration (Pca) déchu de la Société civile camerounaise de l’art musical (Socam)  a donné  mercredi 22 janvier 2014 à Yaoundé, l’artiste a déclaré séance tenante que : «je n’ai jamais été consulté pour cette affaire-là. Je suis flatté par cette promotion. Mais je n’en veux pas». Nous n’avons pas pu avoir Ben Decca pour avoir confirmation de sa démission du bureau de la commission ad hoc. Mais à croire notre confrère d’équinoxe, Ben Decca a aussi esquivé l’offre de la ministre pour les mêmes raisons déjà sus-évoquées.

Joint au téléphone, le président du bureau de ce comité Ad hoc,  Sam Fan Thomas, a estimé que le combat est assez noble pour que chacun y apporte sa petite pierre à l’édifice.
