Le Marché des arts et du spectacle africain a refermé ses portes samedi 8 mars 2014 à Abidjan en Côte d’Ivoire.
Bilan très mitigé. C’est ce que rapportent tous les journalistes qui ont couvert cette 8ème édition du Marché des arts et spectacles africain qui s’est déroulé du 1er au 8 mars 2014 dans la capitale ivoirienne, sous le thème ; «les arts du spectacle face au défi du numérique». Un Masa d’imperfections. Le ministre de la Culture et de la Francophonie, Maurice Bandaman, l’a reconnu au cours d’une cérémonie au Palais de la culture le 6 mars dernier. «C’était un Masa de la reprise. Et toute reprise est difficile», a-t-il reconnu.
Entres autres couacs remarqués, le cafouillage autour des billets d’avion, déprogrammation de certains spectacles, difficulté de transport des festivaliers, non respect des heures de prestations des artistes, absence du public aux spectacles de danse et théâtre du fait d’un déficit de communication. Le directeur du festival justifie toutes ses imperfections par la mauvaise préparation. Son comité que Pr Konaté dirige n’a eu que 6 mois pour préparer ce festival au lieu de deux ans. N’empêche, l’ambiance était belle. Outre les artistes comme Dj Arafat qui a dupé ses fans, les 60 troupes venues d’Afrique, d’Europe et d’Amérique ainsi que 500 artistes ont vivement communié avec le public. Notamment, P-Square, Magic System, Alpha Blondy, Jimmy Hope, Moussa Xlim, Jean Roosevelt, Biya Lunkoyi, le conteur canadien Guertin…
La prochaine édition du Masa aura lieu en 2016. Et le Pr Konaté promet de tirer les conséquences de cette 8ème édition qui vient de s’achever. Car, estime-t-il, la Masa 2014 était l’édition de la résurrection.
