C’est la couleur que l’artiste musicienne camerounaise a donné à son troisième album sorti le 16 mars 2014 sous le label ContreJour. Plus métissé et très ouvert au monde, il est baptisé «Mokte».
Douze titres caressants. Multiculturels. Qui tantôt invitent à la réflexion, tantôt à l’évasion. «Mokte», le troisième album de Kareyce Fotso, parle à tout être humain. Quel que soit son appartenance ethnique ou culturelle. Que l’on soit du Nord du Sud, de l’Ouest ou de l’Est du monde, des chansons de cet album trouveront une place dans des cœurs. Il s’ouvre sur le titre «Aya», qui comme une introduction à un exposé, plante le décor et donne des grands axes pour la suite. A la fois, doux, profond et vif. Kareyce est certes restée fidèle à elle-même mais est sortie de son Bandjoun (commune de l’Ouest Cameroun) d’où elle est origine, pour intégrer ce que Senghor appelle «la culture de l’universel», la mondialisation. Sur la piste 3, elle invite sur un gospel très enlevé, ceux qui rêvent encore à continuer de croire. «Just beleive», dit-elle, peu importe ce que les gens disent, poursuis tes rêves.
Sur la même lancée, l’artiste demande à celui ou celle qui n’a pas encore fait de mal, à «lever la main et qu’elle voie». Exactement comme Jésus-Christ avait demandé aux Scribes et Pharisiens qui lui avaient amené la femme adultérine pour la juger et condamner. Comme dans cet Evangile, «Kak pou tseu» est une belle exhortation à la tolérance et à l’amour. Une chanson qu’elle partage avec le vocaliste camerounais, basé à New-York (Etats-Unis) Gino Sitson. Il signe d’ailleurs la direction artistique de cet album qui prône l’unité nationale. Une tâche qui ne l’a pas empêché de faire les chœurs dans les titres «Messa», et «Youmbata». Il est aussi aux commandes des shakers dans le titre «Ndolo, comment ça va». Un beau clin d’œil aux ressortissants des régions de l’Ouest (Haut-Nkam) et du Littoral (Duala). Gino a aussi fait les arrangements du violoncelle dans «Manke». Un titre chanté en Bassa, où l’artiste en toute humilité, demande à son frère de ne pas partir parce qu’elle reconnait sa faute. Le grand Nord n’est pas en reste. Toutes les régions du pays fusionnent dans cet album à travers les rythmes (blues, world, Benskin etc.) et langues. Ce, sur des temps raisonnables. Cet album se veut être une ode à l’unité et à la tolérance. Une invite qui arrive à point nommé. Le tribalisme et le népotisme ayant fait leur nid dans le quotidien des citoyens camerounais. L’artiste sûre de ses convictions, pense que c’est une folie et a voulu s’ouvrir en brisant ces barrières culturelles. Et malgré le temps et les vents contraires, elle rêve d’un Cameroun uni et riche de ses diversités culturelles. D’où l’intitulé de cet album «Mokte», qui veut dire en Ngomala’ac, «croire».
