La formation a débuté le 3 juillet 2014 à Douala et concerne autant les enfants que les adultes et aussi bien les professionnels que les amateurs.
Du 3 au 12 juillet 2014. Les férus de musique entreront en stage. Dix jours de travaux intenses organisés par l’association «Arbre à musique» dans quelques disciplines de la musique africaines et européenne. Il s’agit notamment des cours de chant, danse, flûtes à bec, jeux musicaux, piano et solfège pour les enfants de 6 à 16 ans. Les adultes seront formés et recyclés dans les techniques vocales, chant choral et direction de chœur. Ces cours se dérouleront simultanément à l’Institut français du Cameroun de Douala pour les enfants de 8 h 30 minutes à 11 heures 30 minutes et à la Paroisse Notre Dame de l’Annonciation de 17 h à 20 h pour les adultes. Le tout sous la coordination de Raymond Pende, diplômé de musicologie de l’Université de Lyon et de l’Institut de musique sacrée de Lyon. Pour l’aider dans cette tâche, deux membres de l’Opéra national de Paris seront dans la capitale économique. Françoise Ferrand, pianiste et chef de chant et Florent Mbia, Baryton. La formation sera sanctionnée par un concert final dans la salle de spectacle de l’Institut français du Cameroun de Douala le 11 juillet 2014 à partir de 19 h. Et un master class le lendemain samedi 12 juillet, de 8 h à 12 h. La ville de Yaoundé prendra ensuite le relai pour deux semaines de formation.
Créée en 1996, l’association «Arbre à musique», se propose de collecter des instruments de musique, et du matériel pédagogique. D’étendre l’enseignement musical à un grand nombre d’enfants non scolarisés, favoriser des échanges culturels entre intervenants musiciens européens et animateurs musiciens camerounais. L’objectif à terme est de mettre en place une école de musique au Cameroun. Un projet qui serait salvateur pour la musique camerounaise.
