Comment avez-vous appris votre nomination aux Afrima ?
Très belle question. C’était une grande surprise. Je l’ai appris à Yaoundé par la voix d’un des cadres du ministère des Arts et de la culture. J’étais invitée à chanter pour le Commonwealth. Je suis tombée des nues parce que je n’attendais aucune nomination et donc sur le coup, je n’ai pu confirmer ou infirmer l’info que le cadre du Minac venait de me donner. Le lendemain de ce jour, ma sœur aînée m’appelle pour me dire qu’elle a un journal en main dans lequel, on annonce que je suis nominée aux All Africa Music awards (Afrima Ndlr) à Lagos au Nigéria dans la catégorie meilleure artiste féminine de l’Afrique centrale. Grande a été ma joie parce que quand vous êtes nominée, ça veut dire que les gens s’intéressent à ce que vous faites et vous suivent. Je pense que c’est des cas rares. Très souvent quand on est nominé dans son pays, il se dit que c’est parce que quelqu’un a joué en votre faveur. J’ai vu des messages arriver dans ma boite e-mail pour me féliciter. Je pense qu’ils se sont référés à Youtube. Internet est une plate-forme vraiment de communication aigue. C’est maintenant que je m’en rends compte.
Avant votre nomination, connaissiez-vous les Afrima ?
Je ne les connaissais pas avant. Je les ai connus au moment même où j’ai été nominée. J’ai vraiment hâte d’y être. Il parait que c’est un grand rendez-vous de rencontres de pop stars de la musique et du cinéma et bien entendu de plusieurs potentiels partenaires. J’en profiterai pour nouer beaucoup de contacts. J’aime beaucoup Angélique Kidjo et elle sera de la fête. Je vais la voir et on va échanger. Et plein d’autres personnes que je ne peux pas citer.
Dans la course à ce trophée, il y a des votes des internautes qui comptent mais on ne vous voit pas inviter les gens à voter pour vous…
Comment pouvez-vous dire que vous ne me voyez pas. J’ai fais des émissions sur la Crtv, des interviews dans des magazines, je sors de Bafoussam dans la région de l’Ouest pour un spectacle où j’ai fais salle comble. J’en ai profité pour demander aux gens d’aller voter. Dans les radios, je l’ai dit aux communicateurs qui se chargent de ça. Je ne peux pas me diviser. J’en parle aussi sur facebook et d’autres plateformes de communications. Et puis je ne m’y attendais pas même si je reçois la nouvelle avec beaucoup de joie. Je n’en fais non plus une fixation parce qu’un artiste, c’est une carrière. Je ne m’accroche pas à un trophée. Mon chemin est tellement long. Je suis une artiste qui voit plus loin que vous ne pouvez l’imaginer ; un trophée vient juste témoigner qu’on est passé. La vie continue.
Est-ce que vous avez pris le temps de voir ce que vous pourrez gagner à travers cette compétition ?
Je ne me pose pas de questions. C’est la première fois que je vais découvrir le Nigéria. Plusieurs fois, j’ai eu des opportunités mais j’ai eu des dates qui coïncidaient. Pour ceux qui m’ont nominée, je remercie l’Eternel. Par ailleurs, je vais nouer des contacts avec des stars que je vois à la télé ou sur Youtube et qui me voient à travers ces médias. Enfin, c’est un honneur pour moi d’être dans une catégorie qui représente toute l’Afrique Centrale. C’est l’occasion d’écrire encore mon histoire. Ça vient s’ajouter à ce que j’ai déjà.
Avez-vous été nominée par rapport à votre 7ème album «7e A. Béatitudes» ou à l’ensemble de votre carrière?
J’ai été nominée par rapport au 6ème album «Précieuse» pour le titre «Sacré Cameroun». Quand vous êtes reconnaissants vis-à-vis de votre Patrie, cela contribue à vous propulser. C’est l’amour des camerounais et des ancêtres qui me propulsent. Reconnaissez toujours un bien qu’on vous fait.
Et le dernier album «7è A. Béatitudes», où en est-on ?
Il se porte très bien. Il suit son destin. Il est dans les radios et télévisions. Je sors de la région de l’Ouest où j’ai tourné le clip du titre «Dzasi le dragueur» de la plage 1 de l’album. D’ici le 15 novembre, il sera prêt. Ce qui arrondit à 4 le nombre de clips déjà fait. Après cela, je vais aux Etats-Unis pour me reposer mais je vais trouver du temps pour tourner deux autres clips, «Only you» et «You lac nyam». Quand je reviens, je boucle avec «Concession plurielle», je sors le Dvd et je repars aux Etats-Unis.
A quand une tournée nationale de Marole Tchamba ?
Je ne sais pas, je travaille et j’attends les promoteurs de spectacles. Je ne peux pas être en même temps, auteure-compositrice, interprète et organisatrice de spectacles. C’est vrai que l’entourage peut le suggérer mais je dois faire attention à mon image. Mais je suis ouverte à tout organisateur de spectacle à condition qu’il soit professionnel. En attendant, j’ai des dates en Italie et Suisse avant la fin de l’année.
