«Wakalina». Titre intriguant pour plusieurs personnes de l’assistance. Mais c’est le titre que le groupe a choisi pour intituler son nouveau single qui annonce son prochain album : «la griffe mature». Après leur deux précédents albums : «Okidou» et «Le son du griot». Loin de ce qu’on pourrait penser, le groupe estime que : «Wakalina n’a rien à voir avec le mot waka qui dévalorise la femme». Pour eux, l’ajout «Lina» à Waka, est une façon d’embellir et de magnifier ces femmes que «tout le monde méprisent. La wakalina dont nous parlons dans cet album, est une femme africaine moderne qui travaille et qui est responsable».
Pendant la séance d’écoute, pour qui a des oreilles bien averties, a tout de suite reconnu en cette chanson qui donne le titre de l’album, le groupe Magic system. Le rythme et même la façon de chanter. Un choix ou une ressemblance tout court ? Chaque fan et/ ou auditeur de l’album se fera sa religion. Toujours est-il que le groupe dont fait partie Lady B., soutient mordicus que «Nous avons crée ce groupe pour valoriser la culture camerounaise et affirmer notre africanité». Leur slogan le confirme bien : «C’est dans tes racines que tu trouveras la force de comprendre». Le maxi single est composé de trois chansons dont une reprise d’une chanson française de Nana Mouskouri. Ils ont pu la transformer le célèbre titre «Pour mieux t’aimer» en rythme naija et zouk.
